About the Role
The Janitor - Activities/Floater - MIHS is a full-time, on-site position based in Erie, Erie County. As a floater supporting school activities, you will move between assigned areas to maintain building cleanliness and readiness, ensuring facilities are prepared for daily instruction, events, and after-hours programs. This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on team member who takes pride in well-kept, orderly environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas at MIHS.
- Set up, break down, and reset spaces for school activities, events, and scheduled functions.
- Float between locations and shift priorities as building and activity needs change.
- Help ensure facilities remain safe, sanitary, and compliant with district standards.
- Report maintenance issues and support the broader custodial team as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical custodial tasks, including standing, lifting, and moving throughout the workday.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to varied schedules tied to school activities.
- A team-oriented attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean, supportive learning environment.
- Availability for a full-time, on-site role in Erie, Erie County.
