About the Role This full-time Vice President opportunity sits at the center of the firm's deal activity. As a generalist Investment Banking VP in Boston, you will own transaction execution from mandate through close, mentor junior professionals, and serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients navigating complex financial decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment and is ready to step into a leadership role on live engagements. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital-raising transactions across multiple industry verticals Build, review, and stress-test sophisticated financial models, including DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, and comparable company analyses Structure and oversee due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, accounting, and other advisory teams Draft and refine client-facing materials including pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations Manage relationships with corporate clients, private equity sponsors, and other counterparties throughout the deal lifecycle Support senior bankers in business development efforts and new-mandate pitches Mentor and develop analysts and associates, providing quality control on their work product What We're Looking For Meaningful investment banking experience at the associate or VP level, with a track record of closed M&A or capital markets transactions Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and transaction structuring Ability to manage multiple live deals simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present to C-suite executives and board-level stakeholders Generalist sector background with the versatility to work across industries Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA designation a plus FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses preferred About Selby Jennings Selby Jennings is a specialist financial services talent solutions firm with deep expertise in placing investment banking professionals across the United States.
