Join Ayr Wellness as an Inventory Lead at our Wilmington, New Castle County retail location. We're seeking a detail-oriented, organized leader to oversee inventory operations and ensure seamless stock management across our high-volume cannabis retail store.
About the Role
As Inventory Lead, you'll manage all aspects of inventory control, from receiving and storing products to maintaining accurate stock counts and reporting. You'll serve as the go-to resource for inventory procedures, training team members on best practices, and working cross-functionally with sales, management, and warehouse staff to keep our shelves stocked and our operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Monitor inventory levels daily and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming cannabis products according to compliance standards
- Manage product rotation, expiration dates, and quality assurance protocols
- Process inventory adjustments and reconcile discrepancies with point-of-sale systems
- Train and guide retail team members on inventory handling and documentation procedures
- Generate inventory reports and provide insights to store management on stock trends and product movement
- Ensure all inventory activities comply with state and federal cannabis regulations
- Coordinate with vendors and warehouse partners on orders and deliveries
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of inventory management or retail supervisory experience
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and point-of-sale software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements (preferred but trainable)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and motivate team members
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly as part of inventory duties
