CDM Smith is seeking an International PFASs Forensics Subject Matter Expert to join our team on-site in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, helping clients tackle complex environmental contamination challenges through advanced forensic science.
About the Role
As an International PFASs Forensics Subject Matter Expert at CDM Smith, you will serve as a technical authority on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), applying environmental forensic methods to investigate sources, pathways, and liability across projects worldwide. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Boca Raton, Florida, where your specialized expertise will directly shape meaningful, high-impact engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter leadership on PFASs investigation, characterization, and environmental forensics for domestic and international projects.
- Interpret analytical and forensic data to identify contamination sources, fate, and transport mechanisms.
- Advise project teams and clients on technical strategy, regulatory considerations, and remediation approaches.
- Prepare expert technical reports and communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Support business development and contribute thought leadership in the evolving field of PFASs science.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in PFASs chemistry, environmental forensics, and contamination assessment.
- Experience interpreting forensic and analytical datasets to support investigations and litigation.
- Strong technical writing and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on complex environmental projects.
- Willingness to work on-site in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County.
