About the Role
Arlington Community Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Instructional Designer to create and deliver high-impact training solutions that develop our workforce. You'll partner with departments across the organization to identify learning needs, design innovative training programs, and ensure every employee has access to the resources they need to succeed in their role.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop comprehensive training content in multiple formats: interactive eLearning modules, in-person instructor-led courses, virtual classroom sessions, and blended learning experiences
- Create job aids, process documentation, user guides, and quick-reference materials that support on-the-job performance
- Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder interviews to understand organizational learning gaps and priorities
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback, then iterate on course materials based on results
- Manage the full instructional design lifecycle from concept through deployment and evaluation
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, leadership, and technology teams to ensure training aligns with business objectives
- Stay current with instructional design best practices and emerging training technologies
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning & Development professional
- Strong portfolio demonstrating eLearning development and multimedia training content creation
- Proficiency with instructional design tools, learning management systems (LMS), and authoring software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience designing training for financial services, compliance, or regulated environments is a plus
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams across departments
