HR Recruiter

Qode is seeking a full-time HR Recruiter to join a utilities organization in Tampa, Hillsborough County on a six-month contract engagement running July 2026 through January 2027.

About the Role

In this HR Recruiter position, you will drive talent acquisition for a Tampa-area utilities company, managing requisitions from initial intake through offer acceptance. This is an on-site role compensated at $23–$25 per hour. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) — no exceptions.

What You'll Do

• Execute full-cycle recruiting across a range of utility-sector positions, from sourcing and screening through offer and close
• Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, craft accurate job descriptions, and establish hiring timelines
• Build candidate pipelines using job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, and employee referrals
• Conduct structured phone and video screens to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit
• Keep applicant tracking system records current and deliver clear pipeline updates to business stakeholders
• Coordinate interview schedules, debrief sessions, and offer negotiations with a high level of responsiveness
• Champion a consistent, professional candidate experience from first outreach through onboarding handoff
• Contribute to broader HR team initiatives including workforce planning and compliance activities as needed

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience in a corporate or staffing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline — or an equivalent blend of education and experience
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred
• Comfortable working in an applicant tracking system and leveraging modern sourcing tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly with hiring managers and candidates alike
• Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple open requisitions without losing detail or momentum
• U.S. citizen or Green Card holder — required for this engagement
