Peter Becker Community is seeking a full-time HR Assistant Intern in Lederach, Montgomery County to build foundational HR expertise through direct involvement in recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement—a position available through December 2026.

About the Role

This internship offers a meaningful entry point into human resources, where you'll work alongside our HR team to support the complete employee journey. You'll gain practical experience in the everyday work of HR professionals while contributing to Peter Becker Community's mission of building strong, engaged workplaces and supporting our team members.

What You'll Do

  • Help source and screen job applications, coordinate interview schedules, and support candidate evaluation
  • Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new employee orientation to ensure welcoming first experiences
  • Manage HR documentation, maintain personnel records, and organize company HR systems
  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and team-building initiatives
  • Learn HR compliance requirements, employment policies, and best practices from your supervisors
  • Handle general HR administrative tasks that keep operations flowing smoothly

Requirements

  • Pursuing or have completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Exceptionally organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications and quick to learn new software
  • Genuine interest in people management and organizational development
  • Ability to respect confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with integrity
  • Self-motivated and ready to take initiative in a team environment
