InterContinental Suites Hotel, part of the IHG family, is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in Ohio. In this leadership role, you'll oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensure consistent quality standards, and create an exceptional guest experience through effective team management.
About the Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor at InterContinental Suites Hotel, you'll lead a team of housekeeping attendants across guest rooms and public areas. This full-time position requires hands-on oversight, quality assurance, and people management to maintain the high standards our guests expect at an InterContinental property.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and direct housekeeping staff in cleaning, restocking, and maintaining guest rooms and common areas
- Conduct regular inspections to verify work meets InterContinental Suites Hotel quality and cleanliness standards
- Monitor team performance, attendance, and adherence to company procedures and safety protocols
- Coordinate with front desk and management regarding room status, maintenance issues, and guest requests
- Manage housekeeping supplies, inventory, and budget according to hotel guidelines
- Address performance concerns through coaching, feedback, and documented disciplinary actions as needed
- Communicate operational updates and guest concerns to hotel management
- Support staff training and development to maintain consistent service excellence
What We're Looking For
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping or hotel operations
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, guest room standards, and cleaning protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team
- Clear communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Familiarity with hotel management systems and scheduling tools
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by hotel operations
