Head of Finance & Operations

Humaans is hiring a Head of Finance & Operations in London, UK, UK to partner directly with the CEO and leadership team, owning the financial strategy, operational rigour, and legal resilience that will carry the company through its next stage of growth.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, execution-led role for an operator who is equally at home in a forecasting model and a board-level strategy conversation. Based in London, UK, UK and working closely with the founding team, you will shape the numbers, systems, and decisions that steer Humaans across the UK, Europe, and the US — from investor reporting to pricing that helps close enterprise deals. It is an in-person position, with the team gathering in the office Monday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

• Run all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting, payroll, and benefits.
• Build and refine the company financial model and track core metrics such as ARR, CAC, LTV, payback, and churn.
• Oversee invoicing, billing, and revenue recognition with accuracy and discipline.
• Lead investor reporting, support fundraising materials and narrative, and shape pricing alongside Sales and Marketing.
• Own legal infrastructure — contracts, compliance, risk, external counsel, and audit frameworks like GDPR, ISO, and SOC2.
• Design internal processes and planning cycles (annual planning, KPIs, hiring plans, budgets) and partner on org design and resource allocation.
• Manage vendors, tools, and systems, and grow a small Finance & Ops team as the function scales.

Qualifications

• A sharp finance leader from fast-paced, high-growth tech (likely Series A–D) and/or a top-tier professional services firm such as the Big Four.
• Experience operating across international, multi-entity structures spanning the US, UK, and Europe.
• Deeply analytical, with a proven track record building models, forecasts, and reporting frameworks.
• An operator who thrives on complex, cross-functional work and drives it to completion, comfortable with ambiguity and first-principles thinking.
• Commercially minded, connecting unit economics to go-to-market strategy, and a clear, trusted communicator.
• Hungry, humble, and thoughtful, motivated to build something lasting.
