Thrive Global is hiring a Head of Content to lead our health and wellbeing storytelling across the United States. In this full-time role, you'll direct content strategy and oversee a talented team creating evidence-backed material that empowers individuals and organizations to build healthier, more sustainable lives.

This is a player-coach position that balances strategic leadership with hands-on creative work. You'll manage day-to-day content operations while remaining directly involved in shaping our most impactful pieces. Your ability to guide a team and contribute meaningfully to the work itself is what makes this role unique.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with Thrive Global's mission to make wellbeing a practical priority for millions
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with content producers, editors, and creators to maintain editorial excellence
- Direct content creation across multiple formats and channels, ensuring all work is grounded in scientific research
- Establish editorial standards, guidelines, and processes that scale with organizational growth
- Partner across departments to understand audience needs and translate insights into compelling content initiatives
- Measure content performance and use data to refine strategy and optimize audience impact
- Stay informed on trends in health communication and content consumption to keep our work forward-thinking
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading content teams and managing editorial operations at scale
- Deep expertise in health communication, wellness, or science-backed storytelling
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a talent for clarity and narrative
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse content formats and distribution platforms
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution and attention to detail
- Collaborative leadership style with genuine commitment to developing people
- Comfort moving fluidly between vision-setting and hands-on contribution
