About the Role

The Head of the Microfabrication Core within the Mechanobiology Institute (MBI) at the National University of Singapore (nationwide) (nationwide) (NUS) will lead a team dedicated to developing and maintaining state-of-the-art microfabrication capabilities. This role is pivotal in advancing research on cell, tissue, and organ mechanics/dynamics and mechano-signal transduction.

Core Duties

• Oversee the design, fabrication, and validation of microscale devices for mechanobiology studies
• Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of core facilities and equipment
• Collaborate with researchers to develop custom microfabrication solutions for their projects
• Provide training and mentorship to staff and students on microfabrication techniques
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in microfabrication technology and incorporate them into research practices

Who We're Looking For

We seek a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in microfabrication, preferably within a biomedical or mechanobiology context. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience in leading a core facility and managing a team of technicians is essential.
