About the Role
You'll manage complex projects involving asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, mercury, and other regulated building materials. Your focus will be ensuring all work meets state and federal compliance standards while overseeing project execution, timelines, and team coordination across multiple locations. This is a leadership role designed to drive operational growth in Alaska's specialized environmental services sector.
What You'll Do
- Lead hazardous building materials assessment and abatement projects across Alaska
- Manage compliance with state and federal regulations governing asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, mercury, and related hazardous substances
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely, safe completion
- Direct field teams conducting surveys, testing, and remediation of regulated building materials
- Develop and maintain documentation, permits, and compliance records required by regulatory agencies
- Support business development and expand service offerings across the state
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory partners to ensure project success
What We're Looking For
- Project management experience in hazardous materials, environmental remediation, construction, or related fields
- Knowledge of asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, mercury abatement practices and regulations
- Understanding of state and federal hazardous materials compliance requirements
- Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to safety and quality
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
