About the Role
As a CAD Data Abstractor with Carta Healthcare, you will review patient records and translate detailed clinical information into accurate, standards-compliant registry data. This is a 100% remote, part-time, non-benefit position open to candidates across the US, offering scheduling flexibility for experienced abstraction professionals who value precision and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract clinical data from patient medical records into the appropriate registry, following Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) and CAD specifications.
- Interpret physician notes, diagnostic results, and procedural documentation to capture the correct data elements.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and completeness across every record you process.
- Apply established abstraction guidelines and definitions to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Manage assigned workload within agreed timelines while working independently in a remote setting.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in clinical data abstraction, ideally within a hospital, registry, or quality-reporting environment.
- Familiarity with cardiovascular or CAD-related clinical documentation and GWTG registries is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and chart review practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Reliable self-management skills suited to a flexible, fully remote, part-time schedule.
