About the Role
As a Grower Assistant, you will support the Grower in the day-to-day operations of our wholesale greenhouse production at 4001 Bardshar Road in Castalia, Ohio. You'll learn the craft of commercial plant production — from seed and cutting through to finished, market-ready crops — while keeping our growing environment clean, organized, and thriving. Corso's Horticulture is hiring immediately, so it's an excellent moment to begin a career in horticulture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Grower with planting, transplanting, watering, and routine crop care
- Monitor plant health and report early signs of pests, disease, or stress
- Help maintain greenhouse conditions, equipment, and a tidy work area
- Move, space, and prepare plants for shipping and sale
- Follow production schedules and growing instructions accurately
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in plants, greenhouses, and commercial growing
- Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in a greenhouse setting
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset
- Willingness to learn horticultural techniques and follow direction
- Availability for a regular, full-time agricultural schedule
