Chaminade College Preparatory is hiring a full-time Groundskeeper I in Chatsworth, Los Angeles County, to help keep our campus grounds healthy, safe, and beautiful year-round.

About the Role

As a Groundskeeper I at Chaminade College Preparatory, you will play a hands-on part in the care, upkeep, and ongoing development of the school's outdoor spaces. This Chatsworth-based position centers on maintaining lush lawns, well-tended landscape beds, healthy trees, and dependable irrigation systems across the general grounds. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and nurture lawns, planting beds, trees, and overall grounds to keep the campus looking its best.
• Monitor and service irrigation systems to support healthy, consistent landscaping.
• Operate a range of grounds equipment, including tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, edgers, chain saws, backpack blowers, and sprayers.
• Use hand tools such as rakes and shovels for routine landscaping and cleanup tasks.
• Perform light-duty maintenance on the equipment you operate to keep it running reliably.
• Support the broader growth and development of the school's outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Practical experience or genuine interest in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related outdoor work.
• Comfort safely operating and performing basic upkeep on landscaping machinery and power tools.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of outdoor labor, including lifting, bending, and working in varied weather.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach to campus care.
