T-Mobile USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Government Affairs Director to lead strategic government relations and represent the company's interests before federal, state, and local policymakers. This is a full-time leadership position based in the United States.
About the Role
As Government Affairs Director, you will develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies that advance T-Mobile's policy objectives and business priorities. This executive position requires a strategic leader who can navigate complex regulatory environments, cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, and drive measurable outcomes that support the company's growth and industry standing.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement government affairs strategies across federal, state, and local policy arenas
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with elected officials, regulatory staff, and policy stakeholders
- Represent T-Mobile before Congress, regulatory agencies, and state legislatures
- Lead the government affairs team and coordinate advocacy efforts across the organization
- Analyze emerging policy issues and recommend strategic responses to senior leadership
- Shape company positions on telecommunications policy and regulatory matters
- Manage industry association participation and public policy communications
- Ensure compliance with federal and state government relations disclosure laws
What We're Looking For
- Extensive executive experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory affairs
- Deep expertise in federal legislative and regulatory processes
- Established network of relationships with government officials and policy influencers
- Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in political science, law, public policy, or related discipline (graduate degree preferred)
- Background in telecommunications, technology, or regulated industries strongly valued
