Chubb is seeking a Global Head of Insurance Learning, Underwriting & Technical Excellence to lead enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives across our international insurance operations. Based in New York, this full-time role oversees strategic workforce development for underwriters and claims professionals worldwide.
About the Role
As Global Head of Insurance Learning-Underwriting & Technical Excellence, you will own the design and execution of comprehensive learning strategies that elevate underwriting and claims capabilities across Chubb's global platform. This leadership position bridges learning strategy with technical insurance expertise, serving all product lines, geographic markets, customer segments, industry practices, and distribution channels.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement global learning frameworks and curricula tailored to underwriter and claims adjuster skill development
- Build a culture of continuous technical education across Chubb's diverse markets and business units
- Establish competency models and assessment tools aligned with underwriting excellence and risk management standards
- Oversee instructional design, delivery methods, and learning platforms spanning in-person, virtual, and blended formats
- Partner with underwriting, claims, and product leadership to identify skill gaps and emerging training needs
- Measure learning impact and effectiveness through analytics and performance metrics
- Lead a global team responsible for content development, trainer development, and program delivery
- Champion innovation in professional development and industry-leading practices in insurance talent development
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record leading learning and development functions at enterprise or global scale
- Deep knowledge of insurance underwriting, claims operations, or related technical domains
- Experience designing and executing large-scale organizational learning strategies
- Strong leadership capabilities with ability to influence across geographies and business lines
- Strategic mindset combined with operational excellence in program delivery
- Expertise in instructional design, learning technology platforms, and talent development best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, or related field; advanced degree preferred
