About the Role
As a General Service Technician at Monro Store 232, you'll perform essential vehicle maintenance and repair work that keeps cars running safely and efficiently. You'll work with customers face-to-face and handle the mechanical tasks that make us one of the region's most reliable automotive service centers. This is a full-time hourly position where your technical skills, attention to detail, and customer focus directly impact our reputation.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, battery service, and fluid checks and replacements
- Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnose common mechanical issues using shop equipment and diagnostic tools
- Complete repair and maintenance work according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all shop safety protocols and procedures
- Document all work completed and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers
- Support a team environment and assist experienced technicians as you develop your technical skills
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address questions about vehicle maintenance needs
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in automotive service
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow in an automotive environment
