About the Role
As a General Maintenance Technician with ABM in Charlotte, you will be the first line of response for the campus facilities, handling both reactive repair requests and routine upkeep. This is an on-site, 1st shift position—ideal for a dependable problem-solver who enjoys variety and works well independently across a busy campus environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to tenant and facility maintenance requests, both reactive repairs and scheduled routine tasks.
- Perform general building maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems.
- Diagnose issues, complete repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance to keep facilities running smoothly.
- Document completed work and communicate status updates to supervisors and building occupants.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in general building or facilities maintenance.
- Working knowledge of common repair trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, and carpentry.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and prioritize multiple service requests effectively.
- Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to tenant needs.
- Availability to work the 1st shift on-site in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County.
