About the Role

We're seeking detail-oriented, self-motivated professionals to join Taskrabbit's growing community of independent service providers. In this full-time position, you'll handle furniture assembly jobs across Waxahachie and surrounding areas in Ellis County, working directly with residential customers to bring their newly purchased furniture to life.

What You'll Do

• Assemble a diverse range of furniture pieces, including bedroom sets, modular storage systems, dining chairs, shelving units, and accent furniture
• Read, interpret, and follow manufacturer assembly instructions and diagrams accurately
• Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively to complete projects on schedule
• Inspect completed work to ensure structural integrity, proper alignment, and customer satisfaction
• Communicate professionally with customers, address questions, and provide updates throughout each job
• Manage your own schedule, accepting and completing tasks that fit your availability
• Maintain a positive, problem-solving attitude when unexpected assembly challenges arise

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with furniture assembly—whether from professional background or proven DIY work with IKEA, custom, or quality furniture brands
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort interpreting visual instructions and blueprints
• Reliability and punctuality in meeting customer appointments
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards
• A dependable vehicle and valid driver's license for traveling to customer locations throughout Ellis County
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
