What You'll Do
- Meet with bereaved families to plan and coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services tailored to their wishes
- Guide families through the selection of caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise with sensitivity and professionalism
- Prepare and file all required death certificates, permits, and legal documentation accurately and on time
- Oversee and perform embalming, restorative art, and body preparation in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate logistics with cemeteries, crematories, clergy, florists, and other service providers
- Transport remains with care and in accordance with applicable health and safety standards
- Support pre-need arrangement consultations and maintain lasting relationships within the community
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, discretion, and compassionate service at every interaction
What We're Looking For
- Active Washington State Funeral Director license (required)
- Demonstrated experience in funeral arranging, embalming, and service coordination
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with empathy under emotional circumstances
- Strong organizational ability to manage multiple families and services simultaneously
- Familiarity with local Pierce County communities and a genuine desire to serve them
- Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit that complements a close-knit team
