Funeral Director/Arranger

What You'll Do

• Meet with bereaved families to plan and coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services tailored to their wishes
• Guide families through the selection of caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise with sensitivity and professionalism
• Prepare and file all required death certificates, permits, and legal documentation accurately and on time
• Oversee and perform embalming, restorative art, and body preparation in compliance with state regulations
• Coordinate logistics with cemeteries, crematories, clergy, florists, and other service providers
• Transport remains with care and in accordance with applicable health and safety standards
• Support pre-need arrangement consultations and maintain lasting relationships within the community
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics, discretion, and compassionate service at every interaction

What We're Looking For

• Active Washington State Funeral Director license (required)
• Demonstrated experience in funeral arranging, embalming, and service coordination
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with empathy under emotional circumstances
• Strong organizational ability to manage multiple families and services simultaneously
• Familiarity with local Pierce County communities and a genuine desire to serve them
• Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit that complements a close-knit team
