Richcroft is hiring a full-time Awake Over Night Direct Support Professional to join our team serving the Carroll County, Maryland area, including Arnold. This $22/hour, non-exempt overnight weekday position is perfect for a dedicated caregiver ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Role
As an AON (Awake Over Night) Direct Support Professional at Richcroft, you'll provide essential, hands-on care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout overnight weekday shifts. Working full-time in this non-exempt role, you'll help create safe, dignified, and enriching experiences while ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of those in your care. Your presence and attentiveness during overnight hours will be crucial to the comfort and safety of the individuals you support.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities
- Support individuals in enjoying recreational activities, community outings, and leisure time
- Foster social engagement and meaningful interaction throughout the overnight shift
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment
- Respond to requests and needs with professionalism and compassion
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families about care provided
- Document observations and activities as required
