What This Role Involves

This role involves working on a major high-rise tower project in Burswood. As a formwork carpenter, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the forms that are used to create the concrete structures of the building. The job requires a strong understanding of formwork techniques and an ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Setting up and dismantling formwork systems
• Ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times
• Maintaining high standards of quality in the construction process
• Working closely with other trades to ensure smooth project flow

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities include working on a variety of tasks related to formwork, such as cutting and fitting panels, securing forms, and ensuring that all materials are in place before pouring concrete. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday at an average of 55 hours per week, with higher hours required during peak times. On weekends, the rate increases to $72 per hour.

What You Bring

To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of five years' experience as a formwork carpenter and be able to demonstrate your proficiency through previous work. You must hold relevant certifications and be capable of working at heights safely. Additionally, strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with other tradespeople.
