About the Role
The Formula SAE EV (June 16–20) opportunity at GM Performance Power Units is a full-time, on-site position based in Concord, North Carolina. We are connecting with talented student engineers and emerging professionals from the Formula SAE Electric Vehicle community who are eager to contribute to championship-level motorsport powertrain development. This role places you at the heart of an ambitious program dedicated to engineering advanced Formula 1 power units.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, build, and refinement of high-performance electric power unit systems and components.
- Apply hands-on Formula SAE EV experience to real-world motorsport engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to advance power unit performance, reliability, and innovation.
- Contribute to testing, analysis, and continuous improvement throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications
- Background or active participation in a Formula SAE Electric Vehicle program or comparable competitive engineering team.
- Strong foundation in electrical, mechanical, or powertrain engineering principles.
- Passion for motorsport, electric vehicle technology, and high-performance power unit design.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Concord, North Carolina, within a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
