About the Role
As a Food Applications Scientist at KENT WORLDWIDE, you'll be a trusted technical partner to our customers, combining hands-on laboratory work with customer-focused problem-solving. Your expertise will support the development and optimization of ingredient applications across diverse food manufacturing challenges, bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and market needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to develop, evaluate, and refine ingredient formulations tailored to customer specifications
- Provide technical guidance to customers on product selection, performance characteristics, and application best practices
- Collaborate with commercial and sales teams to identify customer challenges and define technical solutions
- Troubleshoot formulation issues and optimize processing parameters to ensure product quality and consistency
- Document findings and maintain detailed technical records to support ongoing customer partnerships
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements in food science and ingredient applications
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline
- Hands-on laboratory experience with formulation development, testing, or quality analysis
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Experience supporting customers or working in customer-facing technical roles is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
