Flatbed Truck Driver

Boyd Bros. Transportation Inc. is hiring full-time Flatbed Truck Drivers based out of Front Royal, Warren County — join a family-owned flatbed carrier with a strong national freight network and a reputation built on reliability and driver support.

About the Role

As a Flatbed Truck Driver with Boyd Bros. Transportation Inc., you'll be part of a dedicated team hauling steel, building materials, and general flatbed freight across the country. You'll operate late-model, well-maintained tractors and be expected to represent the company professionally on every load.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate company tractor-trailers over long-haul and regional flatbed routes throughout the US
• Load, secure, and tarp flatbed freight — including steel coils, lumber, building materials, and oversized cargo — in compliance with DOT regulations
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs (ELD)
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding load status, delays, and delivery requirements
• Adhere to all federal and state transportation safety standards and company policies
• Maintain a clean driving record and professional demeanor at shipper and receiver locations

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Demonstrated experience operating flatbed trailers, including proper load securement and tarping
• Working knowledge of DOT Hours of Service rules and ELD systems
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to work independently on the road
• Solid communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and interacting with customers
• Clean MVR and ability to pass DOT-required pre-employment screening
