Finishing Press Assistant

Quad is hiring a full-time Finishing Press Assistant at its Rahns, Montgomery County facility — a hands-on production role at one of the world's leading integrated marketing and manufacturing companies.

About the Role

The Finishing Press Assistant supports the operation of post-press equipment in a fast-moving print manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced press operators, you'll help keep production lines running efficiently while maintaining the quality standards Quad's clients depend on. This is an on-site, full-time position at our Rahns, Pennsylvania plant.

What You'll Do

• Assist press operators in setting up, feeding, and running finishing equipment such as cutters, folders, binders, and trimmers
• Monitor output throughout each production run to catch defects early and minimize waste
• Stack, organize, and stage finished materials for the next step in the fulfillment process
• Perform routine inspections to verify that finished products meet job specifications and quality standards
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols at all times
• Communicate clearly with operators and leads about material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns
• Support basic machine changeovers and adjustments as directed by the press operator

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment is a plus, though motivated newcomers are encouraged to apply
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout an entire shift
• Comfortable lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in every task
• Reliable, team-oriented work ethic with the drive to take ownership of your work area
• Basic mechanical awareness and willingness to learn finishing press operations
