EchoStar is hiring a full-time Field Technician in Bryson City, Swain County. If you're skilled at troubleshooting, comfortable working in customers' homes and businesses, and ready to deliver the connectivity solutions that keep people connected, we want to meet you.
About the Role
As a Field Technician with EchoStar, you'll install, maintain, and repair connectivity systems and equipment for residential and commercial customers throughout the Bryson City area. You'll be the direct connection between our company and the people who depend on our services every day, delivering professional technical expertise and outstanding customer experiences.
What You'll Do
- Install satellite television equipment, smart home systems, and related hardware at customer locations
- Troubleshoot and repair existing installations to restore service and resolve customer issues
- Test systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed
- Explain technical information in clear, customer-friendly terms
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards while working at heights or in various conditions
- Travel to multiple customer sites throughout Swain County
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical capability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment systems
- Authorization to work in the United States
