About the Role

As a Field Service Technician with Mainspring Energy, you will install, commission, service, and maintain Mainspring Linear Generators at customer sites throughout Ohio. Based out of Columbus, you will be the local technical expert ensuring each unit performs at its best, troubleshooting issues directly in the field and keeping low-emissions power flowing for the companies that depend on it.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and start-up of Mainspring Linear Generator systems
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maximize uptime
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system faults and resolve them efficiently
• Document service activity, parts usage, and equipment performance accurately
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
• Uphold all safety procedures and quality standards while working at customer locations

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing mechanical, electrical, or power-generation equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read technical schematics, manuals, and service documentation
• Comfortable working independently in the field while managing your own schedule
• Based in or able to commute to the Columbus, Franklin County area; willingness to travel to regional customer sites
• Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality service
