About the Role
As a Family Support Liaison with Teach Iowa, you will serve as a trusted point of contact between students' families, educators, and school leadership. This on-site, full-time position is based at Mid City High and is slated to begin with the 2026–27 school year. The liaison plays a central part in helping families navigate school resources and in fostering an environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Build supportive, ongoing relationships with students' families and caregivers.
- Connect families with school programs, services, and community resources.
- Encourage consistent communication between the home and the school.
- Support family engagement in students' learning and overall well-being.
- Coordinate with teachers and administrators to address the needs families raise.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse communities.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a school setting at Mid City High.
- Availability for a full-time, in-person schedule (not a remote role).
