About the Role
As a Family Service Advisor at our Hayward location, you'll be the trusted guide families turn to when planning funeral services and memorial arrangements. You'll work directly with bereaved families to understand their needs, preferences, and values, helping them create personalized tributes that honor their loved ones. This is more than a sales role—it's a calling to serve families with dignity and provide genuine support during their time of need.
What You'll Do
- Meet with families to discuss memorial service options, casket and urn selections, and burial or cremation preferences
- Provide compassionate guidance on service planning, floral arrangements, and celebration-of-life events
- Prepare funeral arrangements documentation and coordinate with operations teams
- Build relationships with families and establish Northstar Memorial Group as a trusted resource in the Hayward and Alameda County community
- Explain burial plan options, pre-planning services, and trust documents in clear, respectful language
- Ensure families feel heard, supported, and confident in their decisions
