Executive Director, Housing & Residence Life

The University of North Alabama is seeking a strategic, student-centered leader to serve as Executive Director, Housing & Residence Life in Saint Florian, Lauderdale County. This full-time, on-campus role oversees the residential experience that shapes student success, belonging, and retention across university housing.

About the Role

As Executive Director, Housing & Residence Life, you will provide vision and operational leadership for the University of North Alabama's residential program. Based on-site in Saint Florian, Lauderdale County, you will guide the teams, services, and living-learning environments that support students throughout their time on campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the strategic planning, daily operations, and long-term goals of the housing and residence life department.
• Lead, mentor, and develop professional and student staff who deliver residential programs and services.
• Cultivate safe, inclusive, and engaging living communities that promote student wellbeing and academic achievement.
• Oversee occupancy management, housing assignments, budgets, and facilities coordination.
• Develop and enforce residential policies and emergency response protocols in line with university standards.
• Collaborate with campus partners to align housing with the broader student experience and institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within housing, residence life, or a closely related area of student affairs.
• Proven ability to supervise teams, manage budgets, and administer complex operations.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive communities and supporting diverse student populations.
