About the Role

As Environmental Manager, you will lead the strategy and day-to-day execution of environmental protection across the San Diego Maritime Solutions site. You will build and sustain the programs that ensure BAE Systems meets its full range of compliance commitments at the federal, state, and local levels, while fostering a culture where environmental responsibility is part of how the team works every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, roll out, and maintain environmental protection programs tailored to the facility's operations.
• Track and uphold compliance obligations across all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Monitor evolving environmental requirements and translate them into practical site procedures.
• Partner with operations, safety, and leadership teams to embed sound environmental practices into daily work.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation to support audits and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing environmental compliance and protection programs, ideally in an industrial or maritime setting.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and reporting standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance obligations simultaneously.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across diverse teams and with regulatory bodies.
• Authorization to work on-site full-time in San Diego, San Diego County.
