Entry-Level Laboratory Technician, Wet Chem

Sterling Labs is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Laboratory Technician in Wet Chemistry at our Des Plaines, Cook County facility, where you'll help generate the trusted analytical data that protects public health and the environment.

About the Role

As an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician (Wet Chem) with Sterling Labs in Des Plaines, you'll learn and apply validated wet chemistry methods to analyze environmental samples. This is an on-site, full-time position ideal for someone beginning a career in environmental laboratory science who values precision, accountability, and high-integrity results.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and analyze environmental samples using established wet chemistry techniques
• Follow validated testing methodologies and standard operating procedures to ensure accurate, defensible data
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Record results carefully and maintain complete, traceable documentation
• Adhere to quality, safety, and accreditation requirements throughout daily lab work
• Support the analytical team to meet turnaround and reporting commitments

Qualifications

• Interest in launching a career in environmental or analytical chemistry; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
• Background in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a related field is helpful
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed protocols precisely
• Comfort working with laboratory instruments, measurements, and recordkeeping
• Dependable, organized, and able to work on-site in Des Plaines, Cook County
