About the Role

As an English–Korean Simultaneous Interpreter, you'll be the critical link enabling clear, accurate communication between English and Korean-speaking participants at conferences, business meetings, negotiations, seminars, and corporate events throughout Southern California. This full-time position demands precision, cultural awareness, and the ability to interpret under pressure while maintaining complete accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Deliver real-time simultaneous interpretation between English and Korean across diverse professional settings and industries
• Prepare thoroughly before each assignment by reviewing terminology, industry-specific vocabulary, and participant backgrounds
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics in all interpreting engagements
• Coordinate with event organizers to understand context, technical requirements, and participant needs ahead of time
• Adapt interpretation style to match audience, venue, and subject matter—from technical briefings to diplomatic discussions
• Manage fatigue and quality by working efficiently with fellow interpreters during extended sessions

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Korean, with command of specialized vocabulary across multiple sectors
• Proven experience as a simultaneous interpreter, ideally with commercial, legal, medical, or conference-level work
• Formal training or certification in interpretation (or equivalent professional experience demonstrating mastery)
• Strong listening, processing, and verbal communication skills under real-time pressure
• Excellent cultural competency and ability to convey nuance, idiom, and tone across languages
• Professional demeanor, discretion, and reliability in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Willingness to travel within Riverside County and Southern California for client assignments
