Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for Statista‘s internal Content Tooling platform. You will shape the roadmap, empower a senior engineering team, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.

What You Will Do

Lead a team of backend, frontend, and QA engineers, create a supportive environment, carry a clear direction for the team, own cross-team interfaces, drive engineering excellence, and lead migration projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional, product-oriented engineering teams
  • Solid grasp of full-stack development, ideally with Java, React, and both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of distributed system design, particularly microservice architectures
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with building applications on AWS
