This full-time Residential Education Coordinator for New Student Communities position at Haverford centers on creating welcoming residential communities for incoming students at Campus. You will focus on educational programming, community development, and transitional support that help new students build connections, navigate campus resources, and establish healthy living habits from day one.

What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver residential education programs tailored to new student communities that promote involvement, belonging, and academic success
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student residential staff who serve first-year floors and program spaces
• Design community-building activities, late-night options, and ongoing affinity programming that strengthen peer relationships among new students
• Facilitate hall meetings, workshops, and one-on-one conversations that address residential policies, wellness, and conduct expectations
• Partner with orientation, academic advising, counseling, and campus life teams to align support for entering students
• Respond to residential incidents, mediate conflicts, and complete on-call responsibilities that maintain a safe living environment
• Track program participation, gather feedback, and refine initiatives to meet the evolving needs of new student communities at Campus

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in residential life, student affairs, or working with first-year students in a campus setting
• Demonstrated skill in training and supervising student staff
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and written communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, respectful residential communities
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations common to residential education roles
• Organizational skills for managing multiple programs and partner relationships simultaneously
