About the Role

The role involves delivering goods to various locations while ensuring that the vehicle is neatly packed and preventing damages or breakages. You will be responsible for supervising and assisting with loading, conducting daily inspection checks, reporting on defects, maintaining vehicles, supplying correct quantities and supplies, reducing costs on vehicles, collecting COD monies, and providing excellent customer service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Daily vehicle inspections to ensure all systems are functioning correctly
• Packing goods neatly into the vehicle to prevent damages or breakages
• Supervising and assisting with loading of goods
• Conducting daily inspection checks on the vehicle for any defects or issues
• Reporting any defects found during inspections to the relevant team members
• Maintaining the vehicle in good condition to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Supplying correct quantities and types of supplies as required by clients
• Reducing costs associated with vehicle maintenance and operation
• Collecting COD monies from customers upon delivery
• Providing excellent customer service to all clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently

Requirements

• A valid driver's license for the required vehicle category
• Experience in driving heavy goods vehicles (HGV) is preferred but not mandatory
• A strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices when handling goods
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail to ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time
