Distribution Field Technician I

City of Winter Garden is hiring a Distribution Field Technician I in Winter Garden, Orange County, to read water meters and support our water utility operations. This is a full-time field position serving our community.

About the Role

As a Distribution Field Technician I, you'll conduct meter readings, record water consumption data, and interact with customers across assigned routes in the City's water distribution system. This role combines technical accuracy with customer service skills as you represent City of Winter Garden in the field.

What You'll Do

• Read water meters on assigned routes and accurately record consumption data
• Maintain detailed records of meter readings and service activities
• Interact professionally with customers during field visits and route work
• Answer customer questions with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment
• Refer complex issues to your supervisor for guidance and decision-making
• Serve as a public relations representative for City of Winter Garden
• Follow established work procedures, safety protocols, and work instructions
