The role of Director of Marketing and Communications, at Carolina Performing Arts in Chapel Hill North Carolina involves the development and management of audience journeys. The main responsibilities include creating and implementing brand, marketing and communications strategies to engage audience groups. This position will be in charge of leading the Marketing & Communications team while collaborating closely with the Director of External Affairs to devise strategies and engagement opportunities. Additionally the Director of Marketing and Communications will oversee the development of CPAs engagement and communications strategy. Managing a team consisting of 6 full time staff members as a smaller group of part time student staff will also be part of their responsibilities. An ideal candidate for this role should possess at 8 years experience in leading marketing or public relations teams along with the ability to adapt to situations. Previous experience working with communities is highly valued, well as familiarity with ticketing systems, like Tessitura CRM.
