Your Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and long-term strategy for Pierce County's human services programs Direct and mentor staff across multiple service lines serving vulnerable populations Develop and manage departmental budgets and grant funding to maximize community impact Build and maintain partnerships with regional organizations to strengthen the services ecosystem Lead initiatives addressing homelessness, housing stability, veteran services, aging support, disability services, and early childhood development Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement across all service areas Represent Pierce County in community forums, coalitions, and government agencies Qualifications Extensive background in frontline social services delivery or case management Demonstrated understanding of human services programs and systems serving Pierce County's diverse populations Leadership experience managing teams and departments within a public or nonprofit setting Knowledge of homelessness, housing, aging, disabilities, or early childhood services Familiarity with regional services coordination and cross-sector collaboration Strong communication and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) Working at Pierce County Pierce County is committed to supporting its workforce and the communities it serves.
