About the Role As Director of Family & Community Outreach, you will serve as a strategic leader reporting to the Executive Director of Student, Family & Community Engagement. What You'll Do Design and execute evidence-based family engagement initiatives that increase participation across all school levels Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholder groups Coordinate parent involvement programs, workshops, and communication strategies that support student achievement Oversee outreach activities that address the needs and interests of diverse families within the district Develop policy recommendations and provide leadership on family and community engagement matters to district administration Measure program effectiveness through data collection, evaluation, and continuous improvement processes Represent the district at community events and serve as a liaison between schools and external partners What We're Looking For Master's degree in education, public administration, community development, or a related field Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership Demonstrated success building and sustaining collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills Experience designing and evaluating community or family programs Knowledge of educational systems and commitment to supporting student and family success Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) is preferred About La Joya Independent School District La Joya Independent School District has served the Hidalgo County community for over a century with a commitment to educational excellence.
