Interview prep

Fit summary

Best for a senior IR/corporate finance professional who wants public-company impact at a long-listed NYSE industrials name (MAS) in metro Detroit—not a remote or pure corporate-development role.

Day in the role

As Director, Investor Relations & Corporate Finance at Masco, a typical day centers on equity-story messaging for a multi-brand manufacturing conglomerate (ticker MAS), coordinating earnings and guidance materials, and partnering with treasury/FP&A on capital allocation topics such as buybacks and cash flow. Expect outreach to analysts and investors, board-ready materials, and alignment with brand and plant-level results across Masco’s home-products portfolio.

Skills to emphasize

Prioritize capital markets fluency (earnings, guidance, buybacks), IR process discipline, and multi-brand industrial finance storytelling. SEC disclosure literacy and comfort with cash-flow and valuation framing are more useful here than generic certificates—no role-specific cert list was provided.
