Childrens Rescue Fund is hiring a full-time Director, Building Operations (Kenilworth) to lead day-to-day shelter operations in Flatbush, Brooklyn. About the Role
As Director, Building Operations (Kenilworth), you will help create a safe, well-run, and dignified living and working environment across Single Adult shelter sites in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Reporting within the operations team, you will steer the daily functioning of each location while supporting residents on their path to permanent housing. This is a full-time, on-site position with Childrens Rescue Fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all daily operations across assigned Single Adult shelter locations.
- Champion programs and efforts that help adult singles transition into stable, permanent housing.
- Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team, including Operations Managers, Shift Supervisors, private security personnel, and other on-site staff.
- Maintain facility standards that keep living and working spaces efficient, orderly, and welcoming.
- Promote a responsive, resident-centered culture that supports health, safety, and well-being.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing building or facility operations, ideally within shelter, residential, or social-service settings.
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of supervising and motivating diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities suited to a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Commitment to serving vulnerable populations with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
- Availability to work full-time and on-site in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
