Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Visiting Angels is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate in-home care to clients in Wall, Monmouth County. In this part-time role, you'll support individuals in maintaining independence and dignity while living safely at home.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional at Visiting Angels, you'll be the trusted caregiver helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life. You'll provide essential personal care, assist with daily activities, and offer meaningful companionship while honoring each person's dignity and preferences.

What You'll Do

• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Support activities of daily living (ADL) such as mobility, transfers, and toileting
• Prepare meals and handle light housekeeping as needed
• Monitor health and safety in the home environment
• Provide conversation, companionship, and emotional support
• Travel to individual homes throughout Wall and Monmouth County
• Maintain records and communicate with the care team

What We're Looking For

• Genuine compassion and patience working with vulnerable populations
• Physical ability to assist with personal care and mobility support
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• Home Health Aide certification (CHHA) or similar caregiving credentials preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Commitment to respecting client autonomy and maintaining privacy
