About the Role
As a Diesel & Gas Mechanic with STA Family of Companies, you will diagnose and service large commercial vehicles at our 6591 State Highway 12, Lowville, NY 13367 facility. This is a full-time, on-site position scheduled Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. The pay range is $23–$27 per hour, based on your experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced repairs on engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, braking systems, and exhaust components for heavy commercial trucks.
- Perform accurate diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical faults before they become breakdowns.
- Complete all work in line with OEM specifications and recognized industry standards.
- Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance to support fleet safety and compliance.
- Keep tools, equipment, and your work area organized and in safe working condition.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience servicing diesel and gas-powered commercial vehicles.
- Working knowledge of engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust systems.
- Ability to follow OEM guidelines and established repair procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to work a full-time Monday–Friday schedule, with overtime available.
