DFT Application Engineer

Intel is seeking a DFT Application Engineer to join our team in Holy, Santa Clara County. In this full-time role, you'll support advanced silicon test and design-for-manufacturability initiatives as part of Intel Foundry Services, driving semiconductor innovation for the AI era.

About the Role

As a DFT Application Engineer at Intel, you'll apply expertise in design-for-test methodologies to help engineers build robust, testable silicon. You'll work across interdisciplinary teams to implement test strategies that ensure manufacturing quality and yield. This is a hands-on technical role where your contributions directly impact the delivery of next-generation semiconductor products.

What You'll Do

• Support the design and implementation of test architectures and scan designs for complex semiconductor devices
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate and optimize design-for-test strategies across process nodes
• Develop and maintain test patterns, automated test generation flows, and diagnostic procedures
• Provide technical guidance on DFT best practices and help teams adopt industry-standard methodologies
• Work with EDA tools and simulation environments to validate test coverage and effectiveness
• Document technical approaches and share knowledge across engineering teams
• Support manufacturing test operations and troubleshoot test-related issues in production

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Solid understanding of DFT principles, including scan design, ATPG, and test architecture
• Experience with EDA tools commonly used in semiconductor testing and design
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Tcl
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
