Middle River Power is hiring a Development Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Cook County. This is a full-time position based on-site where you'll contribute to the strategic growth and operational excellence of one of the U.S.'s largest independent power generation platforms.
About the Role
As a Development Analyst at Middle River Power, you'll support critical business functions across our diverse portfolio of power generation assets. You'll work with cross-functional teams to analyze market opportunities, track operational metrics, and develop insights that drive decision-making across our platform.
What You'll Do
- Conduct financial and operational analysis of generation facilities and market opportunities
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators across our asset base
- Support asset evaluation and due diligence processes for new investments
- Analyze operational data and identify trends that impact facility performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and management teams to support strategic initiatives
- Prepare presentations and summary materials for senior leadership review
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, business, or related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in spreadsheet modeling
- Experience with financial analysis, data analysis, or business intelligence preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
