About the Role

As Senior Deputy Program Manager Engineering, you'll serve as a key leader responsible for program execution, technical oversight, and strategic coordination across engineering teams and stakeholder groups. This position combines hands-on technical judgment with program management accountability, requiring you to balance immediate project needs with long-term organizational goals while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.

What You'll Do

• Oversee program execution and technical delivery, ensuring engineering milestones align with customer requirements and contractual obligations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, subject matter experts, and support functions to achieve program objectives
• Identify and manage technical risks, developing mitigation strategies and escalation protocols as needed
• Monitor budget allocation and resource planning to optimize program performance and cost efficiency
• Interface with government customers and internal leadership, communicating program status, technical decisions, and strategic recommendations
• Support compliance with Department of Defense standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering collaboration and technical excellence

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science, Technology, or Mathematics field; or a Master's degree in a related field
• 8+ years of job-related experience in program management, engineering leadership, or technical program execution; or 6+ years of directly relevant experience with a Master's degree
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience managing technical teams or complex programs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
