Ferguson Enterprises is hiring a full-time DC Automation and Maintenance Technician II in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County, to keep our distribution center's automated systems running at peak performance. About the Role
As a DC Automation and Maintenance Technician II, you'll serve as a hands-on troubleshooter for the conveyance, sortation, and automated material-handling systems that power our Upper Marlboro distribution center. Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you'll help ensure equipment reliability so that customer orders flow accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sorters, and other automated distribution-center equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to support accurate troubleshooting.
- Document maintenance activity, parts usage, and equipment condition to support continuous improvement.
- Partner with operations and safety teams to uphold a clean, compliant, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience maintaining automated material-handling or industrial equipment, consistent with a Technician II level.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic controls systems found in a distribution-center setting.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and use diagnostic tools effectively.
- Strong attention to safety, dependability, and the flexibility to support an on-site, full-time schedule in Upper Marlboro.
